Chard Watch CIC (Working altogether in Chard)

Chard Watch CIC is a community interest company, which means that everything it does must be for the benefit of the community, and in particular we focus on helping people who are socially isolated.  We are organised as a co-operative that means that anyone who does benefit in this way has a right to become a member.

The project is open to Adults from the ages of 18 upwards.  We have recommendations to the project from organisations that deal with Adults with Mental Health issues, Disabilities, Lone Parents, Elderly, Migrant Workers, Adults in recovery of Drug & Alcohol Misuse etc.

Our objectives are to provide a supportive environment for members to find their own true potential in their own time which we hope provides them confidence to access further education, volunteering and job placements.

Within the project we provide access to various courses and workshops ie Woodworking, Art classes, Drama, Cookery, Music, IT Dept, Book reading and many other courses which are brought in by other organisations.

We are open every Thursday at the Young Peoples' Centre, Essex Close in Chard from 11am until 4pm.
